Find out your Operator Identity Statement

The RIO code consists of 12 characters with letters and numbers. This Operator Identity Statement allows operators to identify you and terminate your old contract.

To obtain your RIO, simply call 3179 (freephone) from the line concerned. Following this call, you will receive an SMS with your RIO as well as your end date of commitment. The number to call is the same regardless of your operator in order to facilitate the process.

Good to know: If you are not subject to a commitment, or if your commitment has come to an end, you can change operator without having to pay termination fees. Please note, if you are still subject to a commitment, your operator is entitled to ask you for cancellation fees. To know the amount of your termination costs with the Chatel law, you must have subscribed to a package with a 2-year commitment and be in the last year of your contract. You pay 25% of the remaining months.

Portability in 4 steps

Thanks to this simplified number portability process, it is now very easy to change operator, many consumers therefore regularly take advantage of promotional offers from operators while keeping their number. Here are the steps to make a change of operator with the portability of your number: 1-Choose your mobile plan via our comparator, 2- Call 3179 (free call) from the mobile concerned to obtain your end date of commitment as well your RIO3 code - Communicate your RIO to your new operator when you subscribe online, as well as the telephone number you wish to keep. With some operators, you can indicate the desired portability date (between 3 working days and up to 2 month which can be practical).4- The turn is played! All you have to do is wait for your number to be ported to your new operator. The latter will communicate to you by SMS and/or email the date of the port. As a reminder, you must not send a termination letter or take any steps to do so with your former operator, as this could lead to the loss of your number. As a reminder, your new operator takes care of everything, namely the transfer of the number and the termination of your old operator.
