Not being connected watch owner I was curious to know what created this craze around this product.Without a priori I therefore bought a 360 motorcycle that I carried every day.If the beginnings were rather attractive the experience quickly became frightening.Here is my testimony.
Attractive beginnings

Again the experience is pleasant.The big asset of the connected watch is that it allows you to be productive.It is a powerful notification filter.Usually when I receive a notification on my Nexus 5 it is a good excuse to waste time.Let me explain: I receive an SMS, I read it, I take this opportunity to go to the networks, put some commentsetc.etc.What to lose a few minutes for nothing.
With the watch I was really more productive, at the beginning.At each notification, I filled, sweeping the unnecessary notifications with a finger lamps.No superfluous consultation.Everything is on the dial.Besides, the readability on the dial surprised me, I thought I was more suffering in terms of eyes but it is rather clear.
A use that particularly seduced me is the GPS.Not by car of course but on a motorbike.I move in two wheels and I must say that the watch has rendered great services to me.Having a wrist GPS, on a motorbike is really nice.Be careful, I specify that I did not consult it by driving but after each stage of the route.Really a good point this GPS.
To hide nothing, the connected watch intrigues a lot.My entourage was surprised and often enthusiastic.Sometimes frightened.To the latter I sincerely answered "really I was doubtful at first but ultimately it's really great".Yes I found it great during the first two weeks.But then I was also frightened by this object around my wrist.
An invasive or even frightening object
After the excitement and the appeal of the novelty, the experience turned out to be less pleasant.After two weeks the watch had become unbearable.For several reasons.First because it vibrates all day long on the wrist.It is possible not to activate the vibrations but then in this case what is it for?
These incessant vibrations really annoyed me on a daily basis.Usually with my smartphone, I manage myself very well.I answer when I want to, if I prefer to leave it on the desk it stays there, I do not accept as soon as it sounds.In short, I am not a great addict and it suits me very well.
With the watch I felt in a way trapped.I had no choice but to process information.If I didn't do it it tirelessly vibrated.And that's really what scared me.By the way, the watch does not hold the day with all these vibrations and at 10 p.m. maximum more of its more image.It is still a height of not being able to read the time with his watch, right?
The fact remains that this connected watch gave me this feeling that I no longer controlled the situation.And rather than being a practical tool, it has become invasive.I no longer had control over technology, it was she who took control over me.I was acting according to the information she provided me.It no longer used me to be more productive, it literally polluted my space.She altered my concentration.
The most scary in all of this is that I absolutely did not use health data.And it's not worse.I chatted at length with a friend doctor of the dangers of connected health and for once it's really mind -blowing.
Because the data recovered by the manufacturers will be sold to insurance and mutual.And with these data will be hunted down and health at several speeds will gradually be put in place.For example if you have hereditary heart problems in your family and data from your watch or connected bracelet will be transmitted to your mutual.

My great professional conscience (isn't it?) I made me continue the experience the last two weeks.But honestly it is with relief that I get rid of it and that I put my mechanical watch back.
