The LG 65CX (OLED65CX) features a 65-inch (≈165 cm) 10-bit OLED panel displaying an Ultra HD definition of 3,840 x 2,160 px whose sub-pixel structure has changed slightly compared to that of OLED televisions released last year. LG Display therefore continues to refine the geometry of its sub-pixels in order to optimize the performance of organic light-emitting diodes. In terms of the display, the manufacturer always announces the same figures: maximum brightness around 750 cd / m², 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, infinite contrast and zero afterglow time. Compared to the C9, the design is unchanged and the audio part is identical. The third-generation α9 (Alpha 9) processor is a slight evolution of last year's α9 Gen 2 with a 15% power boost. Among the novelties, we find above all the Dolby Vision IQ which adjusts the image according to the ambient light conditions measured by a light sensor on the television, the Filmmaker mode (a faithful image mode, common to several manufacturers) , webOS in its 5.0 version which continues its sobriety cure and the Bluetooth Surround Speaker which allows the use of LG Bluetooth speakers (PL series to reduce latency) as surround speakers.
The LG Oled 65CX is sold for around €3,000. It is also offered in 55 (≈140 cm / 55CX) and 77 inch (≈196 cm / 77CX) versions priced at €2,000 and €6,000 respectively. We appreciate the general drop in prices on the C series since last year the LG 55C9 was displayed at €2,500 when it was released and the 65C9 at €3,500. The 77-inch model also becomes the most affordable on the market at this size. Last year, the LG 77C9 sold for €8,000 when it was released. Like last year, the GX, WX, ZX (8K) and RX (rollable) models share the same electronics as the 65CX television in this test and differ only in terms of audio rendering, design and the presence of integrated microphones for hands-free voice control. A new LG Series is not currently on the program since LG has just released the LG B9S, identical to the 65B9 that we tested. The big news is the arrival of a 48-inch (≈122 cm) model, the LG 48CX sold for around €1,600.
