You may not know it, but Free Mobile subscribers can block unwanted communications and manage, through filters, the communications (calls and SMS/MMS) they receive or send. This service is available in the subscriber area, in the “my services” section then “Manage my account” The filters are classified into two categories: incoming communications and outgoing communications. When this service is deactivated, all receptions and transmissions of communications are authorized on your line. If you decide to activate this service, you will then be able to filter all your communications at your convenience. You can by default decide to block all incoming and outgoing communication by checking the boxes "Block all outgoing communication by default" and "Block all incoming communication by default". This default action will only be executed if a call (or SMS/MMS) received or sent does not correspond to any defined rule. Tip: You can filter a range of numbers by ending the filtered number with the character *. Thus 0123* will filter all numbers starting with 0123 (ex: 0123456789). Creation of communication filters By clicking on the "Add" button (present for both categories, outgoing and incoming), a window opens, allowing you to configure your new filter. From this window, you can create a filter dedicated to a contact by entering its line number in the "Contact's phone number" text field. If you want to apply this filter to all your correspondents, check the "All numbers" box. Define the time slots to which you want this new filter to be applied. It is by default applied all day and all week, but you have the possibility to fine-tune the hours as well as the days by unchecking the "All day" and "All week" boxes. Finally, set the "Actions on communications": Choose a type of communication (Calls or SMS/MMS), then the action to apply: Authorize: Authorize incoming or outgoing calls or SMS/MMS on your line. Block: Block incoming calls or SMS/MMS messages on your line. Redirect to voicemail (Incoming calls only): Calls from the correspondent(s) you choose to filter will be redirected directly to your voicemail. You will receive an SMS indicating that a correspondent has tried to reach you. (If SMS reception has not been blocked.). Receive after the defined period (incoming SMS/MMS only): Indicate the time slot during which you do not wish to receive SMS/MMS, and receive your SMS/MMS deferred at the end of this period. "Save" your preferences, your new communication filter is created If you create several communication filters, you can classify them in order of preference. Filters will be applied according to their position in the list. The filter to be applied in priority must therefore be at the top of the list. Don't forget to "Save" your list after each filter move. EXAMPLE: You do not wish to receive calls during your working hours from Monday to Friday: – Add a filter for "Incoming communications", the configuration window opens.– Check the "All numbers" box, and add a filter description.– Choose the type of communication, and the "Block" action.– Uncheck the "All day" box and choose the time slot during which you want to apply the filter, for example from 9am to 6pm. – Uncheck the "All week" box and choose the days during which you want to apply the filter, for example, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. – Save. Your filter is created, and will be repeated until it is deleted. by The editorial staff A new version of Freebox OS seems to confirm the arrival of virtual machines (...)Apple is planning to replace the butterfly keyboard for its next MacBook Access to comments
