Could we finally see the end of the tunnel for the Pixel Watch? It would seem to be a yes and this time (maybe) for good. Its release date having been the subject of multiple postponements, the Google smartwatch is surely one of the most anticipated connected objects of the year. As a reminder, the American blogger Jon Prosser had announced in October that we should not expect a release of the object before the first quarter of 2022. In a recent tweet, he claims "to have heard that Google was planning its launch Thursday, May 26.
If released there, it should coincide with the holding of the Google I / O event, the annual conference for developers of the American giant, scheduled precisely for the month of May. Moreover, despite the fact that Jon Prosser for the first time provides a precise release date for the Pixel Watch, he still warns consumers about "Google's habit of pushing back deadlines". Also, according to him, there would be a probability of seeing the presentation of the connected watch delayed again. For its part, Google has not communicated about these rumors.
There is no point in running, you have to start on time. This is probably the reason why Google is taking so long to present the famous Pixel Watch. Until then, the American giant was content to incorporate its Wear OS operating system at the request of several manufacturers of connected watches. If it was sufficient for some watches like the Carlyle HR from Fossil, it did not prove to be efficient enough to find a place of choice on the market and compete with the iOS of the Apple Watch.
But Google is working hand in hand with Samsung to create a fusion between Wear OS and Tizen OS, the Korean manufacturer's system, in order to obtain a more efficient result that meets the expectations of future customers. Also, we should expect to see a Pixel Watch equipped with this latest version of Wear OS, which has already met with great success with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4.
The other expected device is the Google Pixel 6a, an accessible version of the manufacturer's latest high-end smartphones.
