To avoid being surprised when you receive your bill, you must first configure your smartphone when travelling, so that it no longer connects to the Internet on its own.

First step: deactivate the reception of data as soon as you arrive. - First go to the "general", "parameters" or "settings" menu of your smartphone. - In the "network" or "cellular data" tab offered by all smartphones, uncheck "data roaming", "roaming enabled", "data abroad" or select "no roaming". If, however, you want to consult the internet or receive your emails during your stay, there is a solution: wifi. Most smartphones are equipped to connect to the web via this wireless network: as soon as you can, take advantage of the free connections offered in museums, bars, hotels... All you have to do is contact the welcome to ask for the name of the network and its password. Go again to the "parameters" or "settings" section of your smartphone.

Activate, by pressing the icon or the cursor, the reception of the wifi: a list of networks will then be presented to you. Choose the one that corresponds to where you are and enter the password that was given to you. Finally, all you have to do is surf in complete peace of mind.
