The Animal Crossing: new Horizons update brought more than one player back to their virtual island, thanks in part to the addition of Robosto (Brewster) and its famous café.

Our friend Robosto will not automatically be on your island as soon as the installed upgrade, however. There are some steps to follow in order to open the famous Café in the Thibou Museum (Blathers).

Objectives to unblock the Robosto (Brewster) quest

First of all, you must have achieved certain goals in the game in order to be able to trigger Robosto's quest.

1. Have an island that has already reached 3 stars

To receive an evaluation of three stars on your island, you must decorate the island and take a few steps. First, go to Marie (Isabelle) and ask her to evaluate your island.

If you Don't have three stars yet, you must be missing a few things. There is a need to:

In order to unblock the extension of the museum, it is necessary to have donated at least 60 marine creatures, fish, insects and fossils to Thibou. So you have to dive, fish, dig and catch all over your island.

Once the 60 donations are made to Thibou, Thibou will tell you that he will begin to accept donations of works of art the next day. Mary (Isabelle) will tell you, at her next introduction of the day, that a mysterious man has been seen near the island. This is Rounard (REDD). Look for Rounard by the water of your island, and buy your first piece of art. Donate it to Thibou, and the art gallery will finally open its doors the next day!

3. Make a donation of each category

You must have donated each category to the Thibou Museum: fish, insect, fossil, marine creature as well as a work of art.

Where to find Robosto (Brewster) and how to open the coffee?

1. Go to the museum and talk to Thibou (Blathers)

Thibou is going to mention a guy named Robosto, and ask you to pick him up somewhere on an island. He'll give you a picture of his friend, so he can identify him.

2. Go to Admiral (Kapp'n)

After the conversation with Thibou, go to Admiral, a newcomer. He's waiting for you on the quay on your island!

3. Agree to visit an island

Admiral offers you a little boat ride to an island. This trip is going to cost you 1,000 nook miles. To find out how many nook miles you have, check out the app on your virtual phone!

During the journey, Admiral will start singing. To encourage it, you can press A, X and Y!

Important: you can use Admiral's services only once a day, so be sure to find Robosto during this one. If you ever traveled with Admiral that day, before you started the quest with Thibou, you're going to have to wait till tomorrow. Sniff.

4. Look for Robusto and talk to him

He's not hiding far away. All you have to do is walk around the island and find the beautiful pigeon! Once you've found him, talk to him, and make sure you get Thibou's message right. The dialogues here may vary, but just talk to him enough for him to mention that he will see you soon.

Take advantage of the island to pick up fun items, as long as you're here!

5. Go back to Thibou

Go to Admiral and tell him that you have finished your journey and that you want to go home.

When you get to your island, go see Thibou at the museum, and tell him you found Robosto! Thibou will announce to you that he will close the doors of the museum tomorrow for construction. Café Le Perchoir (the roost) will open its doors the day after the construction!

6. What to do at the Café de Robosto

When the coffee is open, your character can go and drink a little hot drink for 200 bells and chat with the villagers. By repeating the exercise for a few days, it will eventually be possible to have coffee to take away.

You can also use the yellow phone in the café to invite a character with an Amiibo or an Amiibo card. If you have Nintendo switch Online, friends visiting your island can also join you at the Café.

Small suggestion: try ordering a coffee without bells in your wallet. Robosto will give you something else!
