Create a Messenger account

1. First, you will need to download the Messenger app on your mobile. You will find it in the Google Play Store (or the APK file directly on Clubic) or on the App Store for iPhone owners. It is easily recognizable thanks to its famous blue icon.

2. Once the application has been downloaded and opened, select the "Create an account" button.

3. Messenger will ask you to enter your first and last name. You can of course use nicknames. After completing these fields, validate by pressing “Next”.

4. Now enter a date of birth before confirming with the "Next" button.

5. To create your account, you will be asked to enter your phone number. Depending on your preference, you can choose to enter your email address instead of your number. Once this step is complete, tap the “Next” box to continue.

6. The application then asks you to select a genre, then to validate (“Next” button).

7. The creation of your account is imminent. Facebook will make sure you don't already have one. Tap "No, create a new account" to continue.

8. Choose your Messenger account password. It must be a minimum of six characters. For added security, consider using a combination that is unguessable and that you will not use for any other account. Complete the operation by selecting the "Register" button.

9. After a short loading time, Facebook Messenger will ask you to enter the access code sent to your phone or email address. Once it's done, all you have to do is "Confirm".
