The Chinese manufacturer TP-Link goes to 2K with his new surveillance cameras: Tapo C120, Tapo C220, Tapo C420 and Tapo C720.Various sensors to install in the house will also soon complete its catalog.
The connected house is in the spotlight at TP-Link in these 2022, with a dominance however for securing the house.Several surveillance solutions have been revealed. They will obviously complete the Tapo range and include both cameras and sensors to associate with one of the brand's hubs - Tapo H100 and H200, also new elsewhere - to make a security system.
On the side of the cameras first, no less than four models have been announced. All include a 4 MP sensor allowing them to film in 2K and offer intelligent movement detection with the recognition of people, animals and vehicles, even for interior cameras: Tapo C120 and C220.
In addition, TP-Link provides on these models the audio detection with recognition of baby crying.Tapo C220 is nevertheless distinguished by its 360 ° vision and audio and luminous alarms are also mentioned.Tapo C120 is certainly more basic, but probably more affordable.
The Tapo C420 and C720, finally, are destined outside and are both waterproof and certified IP65.The first has the particularity of operating on battery and resorts to a wireless proprietary protocol less energy delicious than WiFi, but which requires the use of a gateway to connect it to the Internet.
Two small spotlights also offer her the possibility of filming in color, even at night, and movement detection passes through a PIR sensor, as on the Tapo C720 for that matter. The latter must however be connected electrically. Its particularity lies in the two imposing spotlights which surround the camera and must allow it to replace a real external lighting system.
To these cameras are therefore also added several sensors. There are four of them and allow you to be alerted according to various scenarios.First of all, there is a movement detector (Tapo T100) and a doors and window opening detector (Tapo T110) for intrusions, but also a temperature and humidity sensor (Tapo T315) and a detectorwater leak (Tapo T300) for technical dysfunctions.
As indicated earlier, these sensors must be connected to a hub to be able to warn the user when they are triggered, but this also allows them to interact with the other connected TP-Link devices, for example Tapo P110 socket,To create scenarios.
For the time being, neither price nor release date has not yet been communicated for these devices, but we will obviously not fail to update this article as soon as we have more information.
