Both passionate about the automotive industry, Jordan Villatier and Thomas Compigne propose with Suricapt, a solution to assist the driver, "silent tell-tale on board the vehicle", in the event of a collision, accident, damage or hit-and-run on the road. The on-board cameras marketed by the new company, the "dashcam" or "dashcam" in French, are installed at the front, on the windshield and at the rear of the vehicle.
The camera that filming each route, and has a function in parking mode, is powered either by the cigar socket or via the fuse box. Connected to an application, they connect in WiFi to allow you to view videos of the incident if any. The video is used to determine liability for problems with insurance companies. Some even apply discounts if the camera is installed on board, whether heavy or light.
The creators of Suricapt, who started with about 50 models, with a customer price range of €200 to €500, from South Korean manufacturer Pittasoft, are "betting, in the near future, that insurance will promote" this device even though it is not required by law at the moment.
The 24-year-old entrepreneur duo, based in Andrézieux-Bouthéon, which has invested a starting bet of €15,000 for the purchase of the equipment, wants to develop this niche market via the website, their presence with a network of installers in Rhône-Alpes (one to two per department) and the B to B by offering the equipment of corporate vehicle fleets, for example.
In the first year, the target is to reach €60,000 in turnover. About 10 sales have been made to date.
